Welcome to St. Matthews Baptist Church! We are glad you are exploring how you and your child can benefit from participating in our Parents Day Out or Weekday Preschool! A myriad of opportunities awaits the preschool family at SMBC. Since young children absorb information through a multitude of ways, our church provides many programs to meet the needs of young families. Through all Preschool ministry classes and events, our goal is to provide a safe, secure place where children want to learn about God and Jesus and this wonderful world in which we live! We provide hands-on learning experiences and excel at loving children so they can feel safe to love themselves and other people.

The foundation we lay for our children in the educational and social components of their lives is monumental in their overall development. Here at SMBC, we know that you can further strengthen overall development by also participating in church activities and worship experiences to lay a solid foundation for spiritual development. Know that you are always welcome at SMBC! Whether you already have a church that you call “home” and this is a second church home or if SMBC is your only church, we are honored to help strengthen that spiritual foundation for both you and your children. Luke 2:52 says that Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and other people. Likewise, the Preschool Ministry of SMBC seeks to provide a wholistic basis through which your child (and your family) can grow physically, cognitively, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. We further see in Mark 10:13-16 that parents wanted to bring their children to Jesus so He could hold them, hug them, teach them, and bless them. We, too, at SMBC seek to be the kind of place where parents want to bring their children so that together we can hold them, hug them, teach them, and bless them.
